Flames beat Stars at home
The Calgary Flames held onto their post-season lives with a 6-2 rout of the Dallas Stars tonight. Calgary's top line of Savard, St.Louis (pictured) and Iginla connected for 5 of the teams 6 goals and combined for 11 points.
Coach Maurice was delighted with the win. "Our backs were against the wall and our top guys delivered."
Martin St.Louis led the charge with 3 goals, all of them at even strength. "I got a little bit of open ice out there tonight. We put it all on the table. We had nothing to lose." Said the pint-sized winger. St.Louis broke out this season finishing second on team scoring with 28 goals and 63 points. He leads all Flames in the playoffs with 5 goals.
Calgary plays the Stars in game 7 in Dallas May 2nd to finish the series.
