I really don't like to have "outspoken" players on my teams if I can help it.

Jorge Mateo hasn't had an MLB at bat and was out of options (even though he was already in AAA to start the game).

Pittsburgh was willing to give up Colin Moran plus Brandon Waddell.

Moran is going to be our 2B to start the season and Waddell gives us AAA bullpen/rotation depth to keep some prospects down in more appropriate levels of competition.
