I started warming up a reliever, but the starting pitcher made it out of the inning before the reliever is ready. However right after my team started batting the reliever became ready. I'd like to move him to the lineup so he'll quit throwing in the bullpen, but when I try to swap the reliever for the starter I get "Cannot replace the pitcher yet". The pitcher spot is not up to bat.

If I don't do anything the reliever keeps throwing in the bullpen and he'll be tired by the time my team takes the field again. If I sit him down, then he's cold again when my team is up. How do I manage relievers in this situation? Should I be warming him again when my team has 2 outs?
