In the top of the eighth, Paschal led off with a 367 foot home run to put the Yankees back in the lead with his first hit of the season. Eddie Rommel took the mound for the Athletics immediately after.
In the top of the ninth, Lefty Willis took the mound for the Athletics.
In the bottom of the ninth, trailing by one, the Athletics went three-up three-down.
The two teams combined for 26 hits in the contest.
