You can already delete any shortlist you create on your shortlist page. Select a shortlist from your menu and next to that menu a "delete current shortlist" button will "light up". The only shortlist you cannot, as far as I can tell, is "default".
You can already turn off the upcoming games scouting reports. There is a checkbox on on your teams scouting page.
OOTP is a very big game with a ton of options. Most of the basics for those options, such as deleting something you create are in there. Some screens have a lot of buttons, some of those only "light" when you can use them so may be easy to miss.
Granted the manual as a whole is huge but... if you search a subject you can usually get right to the page and by itself it is a short read. It will normally describe all of the options in fairly good detail. This may provide you an answer to questions\suggestions faster than waiting on a reply here and you will, more than likely learn 5 more new things as you search.
Please don't take that as harsh or critical. Feel free to ask and suggest and you'll usually get an answer. However over the years I don't know how many times I was searchinb for something in the manual only learn something else about OOTP that I did not already know.
