That's because the AI will set tactics according to the lines (AI uses line tactics). You can always set yourself in charge and then under tactics, get your assistant to set them once. This will change the lines as well. You can then go back into your lines and make whatever changes you may want. Just keep in mind the tactics that were set may or may not be ideal after the change of lines you make if the type of players are much different from the previous line in place.
