This photo appeared in the Boston Globe on May 22, 1997 at the end of Borland's 9-day stint with the Red Sox. There is not enough of the cap emblem showing for me to be sure that it's a Red Sox cap, but it seems that it could be.

P.S. Forget that possibility. Kept looking and found that on May 13, 1997 the Boston Globe had published a similar photo of Borland, and it was clear he was wearing a Mets cap.
