When I've played Alpha Centauri, or at least when I used to, the Gaians don't always win, or didn't, I believe. Though Skye's fighters can be dangerous at times, to a degree, of course, in certain ways. I often played or play as the Lord's Believers, if memory serves. The University under Zakharov can be tough to deal with, as can Yang's Hive, among others.
Just some thoughts about a couple of the factions in that game. Haven't been able to get or play Alien Crossfire, though. CD out.
