IPA BEGINS 63RD SEASON TOMORROW
And away we go... Opening Day 2063 has finally arrived... no more standing at the window and staring bleakly at the wintry landscape... break out the baseballs... break out the gloves... and start swinging the bats... the new Islandian Pro Alliance season is here... the Green Mansions are open for business... the grass is green in all its glory and the stadiums are refurbished and all spruced up and open for business... Opening Day is tomorrow all across the Islands... we are ready for some baseball.

Will the Rolling Hills Racers repeat as the IPA Pro Cup champion?... Will the Racers win their third Pro Cup trophy in the last four years?... and if not, who has the best chance of knocking them off the IPA pedestal of power?... Will it be the Oxford Red Caps?... the Southport Sun Sox? or the club that has come in second in the Pro Cup Series the last two years?... the spunky Volusia Vigilantes?

Nobody knows the answer to these questions better than the sportswriters and the broadcasters that cover the Islandian Pro Alliance... The Islandian Times has surveyed their opinions and gotten their predictions for the coming year... and here is the results of that poll... the newspaper got votes from four media people in each of the IPA towns... a total of 256 votes... the baseball prognosticators overwhelmingly chose the reigning kings of IPA baseball, the Rolling Hills Racers.

The Islandian Times ISLANDIAN PRO ALLIANCE PRESEASON POLL
1st: Rolling Hills Racers 140
2nd: Oxford Red Caps 40
3rd: Volusia Vigilantes 30
4th: Southport Sun Sox 25
5th: Glasco Foxhounds 17
6th: Valka Blackhawks 12

According to the baseball gurus, Rolling Hills is locked, loaded and ready to win it all again... not only do they have a powerful offense, during the offseason via the trade route they added several new starters to their pitching corps and are better than ever... the already powerful Racers are even more of a powerhouse.
