EC's Still Havin' Fun in '52, Too!

OK, Basketeers, Buckaroos and Basket Weavers, too.
(Note: the LSU basketball players in the 80's took an elective course in basket weaving... just thought you folks might find that interesting… and would you believe that they all got A's in basket weaving.

Now on a more serious note, this year George Mikan and his Minneapolis Lakers were back in business in the National Basketball Association... the NBA playoffs concluded with the Western Conference champion Minneapolis Lakers defeating the Eastern Conference champion New York Knicks 4 games to 3 in the NBA Finals... the first NBA dynasty, the Lakers won their third NBA title in the last 4 years and what would become their first of 3 straight titles... if not for their Western Division finals' loss to the NBA champion Rochester Royals in '51, the previous season, Minneapolis would have won 6 straight titles... this season the Lakers gained revenge with a 3-1 series victory over the defending NBA crownbearer, the Rochester Royals, in the Western Division finals... Rochester was the favorite to win again this year, but Mikan and his crew prevailed this time around.
