I have a league that started in 1921, Black Sox are gone, hr's are picking up etc. What I'm curious about is has anyone tried having new players coming into the free agent pool and having teams sign them rather then having a draft.

Do teams compete for them based on financial ability or will I as a human player grab all the good players?
