Walkers news: July 18 -- St. Louis 11, Green Bay 3

Record: 59-32, 1st, 10 GA Kansas City
Tied 1-1, St. Louis broke the game open with a six-run bottom of the third inning as the River Walkers rolled onto a 11-3 win over Green Bay at Busch Stadium (1997).
Long Haulers starting pitcher Erikson Lanning helped dig his own grave to get the big outburst going for the River Walkers in the third.
He hit lead-off batter Carlos Vidal and then walked Tanner Kohlhepp.
After a strike out of Andrew Benintendi, Rhy Hoskins doubled to score the inning's first run.
Then the bats really got rolling.
Jean Carmona and Jared Thomas both drove in two runs with a double.
After a pitching change from Lanning to Mike Goodkin, Larry Ernesto drove a 1-2 pitch 381 feet over the right-field fence to make it 7-1.
Limiting Green Bay to two runs over the first five inings, Walkers starting pitcher Alex Faedo flexed his muscle with the bat by leading of the bottom of the sixth with a homer off Ryan Zeferjahn.
A two-run homer from Andrew Benintendi off Zeferjahn in the same inning made it 10-2.
Faedo (8-4) handled the first seven innings, allowing two runs on two hits. He struck out 11 and walked two.
Both Haulers runs came on solo homers from Mike Trout.

The final two innings belonged to Luis Palomo who despite allowing a home run to Anthony Rendon had no trouble closing out the win.
