The Pre-Set Game Engine Stats
My theory is that this game is based and pre-set for every league to finish within 5% or so of 2010's statistical totals for nearly all categories. With that theory, I think you could have a league full of the likes of Babe Ruth, Ted WIlliams, Ty Cobb, etc against silver, bronze or iron-level pitching, and their numbers wouldn't drastically jump off the board as long as the league is full of those type hitters, regardless of how bad the pitching is..
Let's use home runs for example. In 2010, there were 4613 total home runs. With my theory, every league no matter what level will finish within 5% of that number. Stolen bases is one stat that I've found doesn't follow the 2010 numbers.
Want to see how your league compares? Go under "LEAGUE," then click "STATISTICS," and then click on the "TEAM STATISTICS & INFO" tab and scroll down to look under total home runs for the league.
For some of you, this might change your strategy or bother you knowing that your players are handicapped. After all, it's not the batters vs pitchers in this game, as much as it is batters vs batters, and pitchers vs pitchers.
Post your season totals below (or how many home runs your league has through how many games)
