with catchers it's all about how long of a stretch you are playing. even the next stretch of games after the next day off...
e.g. there's no reason pushing him if he has to take 1 day off during that stretch. in fact, being proactive might allow for a higher %-fatigue during the next stretch of games after the scheduled day off.
my goal isn't just maximizing days for a good offensive catcher, but also maximizing the fatigue % per game played. that' doesn't mean i don't run a tired all-start level catcher out there a bit tired. i just don't do it if it doesn't help increase GP.
can't stress enough how an early day off can help get an extra game played or at least at higher %s during the ensuing 20+ stretch or in the middle of one.
