Yes, computer books can be expensive. But if you want overpriced, just check out kids' books. Now THAT'S overpriced.
Of course, one quick way to tell if a book is going to be expensive is to just look through it for any colour photos or full colour artwork. If you see that, that means you're talking about the 4-colour printing process, and that's expensive. Thus, the book is probably going to be expensive too.
If, on the other hand, the book has only one colour in addition to black, and the artwork and photos are only in grayscale, then that book is probably not going to be that expensive.
Just a little tip.

That's one way, but another way to tell if the book is expensive is to look at the price tag.
