Come to think of it, I only remember one time where the Raccoons lost in the playoffs to a team that wasn't comparable or above.

The Spearfish Blackhaws, on the other hand, are going to be very tough to beat. They won 126 even though they were a bit unlucky and they also finished with 16 straight wins. They also took 2 of 3 from us in our last series (we too 3 of 4 earlier in the season when we were hot) including one blowout. Their offense produced 1022 R and were also 1st in RA with 450.

In the playoffs, I feel like it's the SPs that make the biggest difference and they've got Cy Young and Walter Johnson at the top of their rotation so that's going to be tough. But the rest of the rotation doesn't worry me too much (Hubbell, Smoltz and Maddux - they've not yet set a 4-man).

Of course, if we manage to somehow get all the way to the WS (going for 2 straight), we'll probably have to face either 121 W Flatbush or 133 W Somerset. So it will be a difficult road to a championship, but that just makes it more enjoyable (especially when you win!).

Good luck to everyone (including our fellow critters, those Portland Raccoons)!
Good luck on that side of the bracket! Hope to see you in the WS.
