The Frogs are sitting at 78-28, which is good for best record in P401 (tied with DownEast). The Belfast Dodgers (75-33) and San Francisco SmallerBallers (77-30) are the class of the other conference.

The team is feeling a bit "cold" right now despite being a full 50 games over .500. That's because we ran up an .830 WPct in April/May and are only .650 in June/July. The horror!

It seems like every time I turn around, 100 Christy Mathewson is getting blown up. Not only did he struggle in 2 starts against my probable playoff competition, but the last sim of the night (a ghastly 11-1 loss) saw Mathewson throw 25 pitches, give up 7 runs on 6 hits and 2 HR, and record zero outs. I mean, it was against a good offense, but not a great offense...Long story short, I might be fixing to replace Mathewson if the opportunity arises.

100 Ed Walsh (16-2, 2.15 ERA, 5.9 WAR) is Walsh-ian in his exploits as usual. He leads the conference in WAR and is eyeing another great pitcher award. This was easily the best mission I've completed (and not even accounting for the SE Appling that has been putting up 5 WAR/season for the past 11 seasons).

The Frogs are all over the conference leaderboard in batting WAR, too. 100 Ozzie (4.5), 100 Ripken (4.4), and 100 Bonds (3.8) form a triumvirate at the top. 100 Barry Bonds (.289/.400/.494, 17 HR 86 RBI 16 SB) was the All-Star game's top vote-getter. Nice. He can bring the 'cream' and the 'clear' into our clubhouse anytime he wants.

Christian Yelich continues to have a nice year as he trains up at 1B. I know all you guys are dying to know where his training is at, so I'll cut to the chase here: Yelich is a 57-rated 1B now. He also has a wee bit of a chance at doing 30/30 this season. The 15 HR pair quite nicely with his 23 SB so far. Not to mention the .322/.427/.542 batting line.
