Are you using "as played" schedules?
I noticed some teams played less games than others.
Did you recreate this schedule manually from a source? As when I do a QS of the 1871 season, manually shifting the players onto their historical teams, I get a schedule where all of the teams play the same amount of games, more than the teams played historically if I recall.
