League Review
I forgot to add the review for the rest of the league. The AL Cy Young went to Pedro Martinez, who finished first in wins, with a record of 22-7, first in ERA with a 2.51, and first in strikeouts, with 395Ks. Cardinal's Matt Morris, who went 18-6, second in wins, with a league leading 2.71 ERA and won the NL Cy Young Award. Alfonso won the MVP for the AL hitting 0.317 with 37 HRs and 144 RBI's. He finished 9th in batting, 7th in homeruns, and first in RBI's. Barry Bonds won the MVP for the NL, hitting 0.355 with 51 HRs and 120 RBI's. He was third in hitting, third in homers, and fourth in the NL in RBI's. The Yankees Matsui won ROY of the AL, hitting 0.305 with 41 HRs and 134 RBI's. Rockies' JD Closser won the award for the NL, hitting just 0.250 but smacking 40 HRs and driving in 94 runs.
