NIRL 2ND STILL TIGHT, GIANTS AND OLDTIMERS WIN
The Joliet Green Giants are still the top team in the North Island Second Division with the Avalon Oldtimers clinging close, just one game behind... both were victors Sunday... Joliet nudged out the last place Wafford Eagles 5-4... Avalon finally tamed the forth place Kinston Firebirds 9-2 in 10 innings... and third place Theodore took care of fifth place West Chester 5-2.

Avalon still has a chance to force a playoff for the league crown... there is one game left to play.
