I know we had a couple reports of this earlier in the year, but I'm not exactly sure if we were even able to track down the cause.
Have you been able to update to the most recent version of the OS possible? That would be my first suggestion, as this is likely video card driver related, and updating the OS on a Mac is the only way to update video card drivers.
