AVALON BACK IN THE NIRL 2ND DIVISION RACE
Thanks to the West Chester Comets, the Avalon Oldtimers are back in the race for the North Island Second Division title... the fifth place Comets unexpectedly crushed first place Joliet 15-1 Sunday, while second place Avalon bombed the third place Theodore Bobcats 10-2... this cut the Green Giants' lead to one game over the Oldtimers... in the other game the fourth place Kinston Firebirds bested the sixth place Wafford Eagles 6-1.
