HO! HO! HO! JOLLY GREEN GIANTS EDGE AVALON
In an epic 14-inning encounter the Joliet Green Giants took a tight toehold on the top spot in the North Island First Division with a 4-3 triumph over second place Avalon... the jolly Green Giants upped its lead over the Oldtimers to two games with only four left in the season... the other two games yesterday were wild-scoring skirmishes... third place Theodore outgunned fourth place Kinston 12-9 and sixth place Wafford outhit fifth place West Chester 12-11.
