Sorry, no, what I was referring to was that the size of the rotations in the postseason are generally a bit smaller than they are in the regular season as compared to seasons in the past when there weren't quite as many off days in the playoffs.
The second point is a good one. Maybe baseball is currently not as popular as football, but baseball today is more popular than baseball was in the 1950s, at least in terms of relative revenue and international appeal.
