After a demotion to Silver, the Quokkas are in the midst of a re-tooling, as I am going with a rookie theme. You wouldn't know it, though, as they are 17 games above .500 and have a five-game lead in their division. No allegations of tanking here!
Over in Perfect Land, the Redlegs are following up their first-ever PL playoff appearance with a fine season so far. We are 28-26, just one game out of first, and actually have been in first place in the division more than any other squad so far. No surprise that the Colorado Lions (6 PL titles), Hammertime Express (4) and Jersey Revolutionize (3) are the class of P423 so far, all with .700+ records. Thankfully our division is fairly wide open.
On an interesting note, the team that beat us in the WC game last season, the Austin Weirdos, ended up winning the whole shebang with an 86-80 record. So congrats to them on their first PL title.
In P417, the Lumber Company could not avoid a whale. The completely inappropriately named Fresno Losers (3) are 46-9 and have opened up a 12 1/2 lead in May. The Lumber Company are 22-30 and four games up in the loss column on the final relegation spot, so they need to chop some wood. Unfortunately, with just 10K in the bank, reinforcements will not be forthcoming.
And The Team That Shall Not Be Named is NOT a Tigers, Angels or Nationals themed team, so they will remain nameless.
