Quad City scored twice in the top of the seventh inning to snap a 2-2 tie and went on to defeat St. Louis 4-3 at Busch Stadium (1997).
Orlando Arcia led off the inning with a double off River Walkers starting pitcher Jimmy Lambert.
A one-out double from Miguel Gomez moved Arcia to third, and he scored on a wild pitch from reliever Jake Brentz.
Gomez later scored on a two-out single from Daniel Johnson Jr., also off Brentz.
The Walkers got a run back in the bottom of the seventh, J.T. Realmuto with a two-out RBI single off reliever Brenan Hanifee.
But with two runners on, Hanifee got pinch-hitter Alek Thomas to fly out and end the inning.
Thunder starting pitcher Adam Haseley (3-1) worked six innings, allowing two runs on five hits.
Three reliever -- Hanifee, Nick Wood and Nick Goody -- all worked an inning apiece to seal the win.
Goody earned his 16th save.
