Surpisingly, the Raccoons have a lead over the Moline Maroons right now (they have 6 perfect titles including 2 straight plus 123 & 125 W the previous 2 seasons). A 21 game winning streak helped out a wee bit. The 4k PP was nice too. Our very next "achievement" after that 4k, was 100 PP for a 5 game losing streak. It figures.

It seems to be a pitchers league this year. Our batting AVG of .292 (.253 NC AVG) is 17 pts. lower than last year, but still leads the league and we're once again #1 in R, though we're down a fair bit from last year there too.

I decided not to look for relief help, but instead save up for a SP, like Pedro maybe or Walsh or ... I had tried to sell 99 Johnson on the AH 3 seasons ago, but he didn't sell and once I moved him to the bullpen, he's been outstanding. He won relief pitcher of the year last season and would have the previous if he'd pitched more in relief so I decided to use him in the bullpen and Seaver as an SP for now.
