JOLIET, AVALON STILL 1-2 IN NIRL SECOND
The best two clubs won Sunday afternoon in North Island Recreational League play... first place Joliet whipped third place Theodore 6-4 and maintained it one-game margin over second place Avalon... at home the Oldtimers shot down the sixth place Wafford Eagles 9-0... and in the battle of the league lesser lights, Kinston moved ahead of West Chester in the fight for the fourth spot... the Firebirds scorched the Comets 10-5.
