Big update here since I haven't posted much through the week due to traveling for work.
Topeka Defenders: They appear to be going to their first ever playoff appearance in Perfect Leagues. Leave OL group, nearly finish my rebuild selling off a number of pieces, and still might make the playoffs. The big additions this week include a lengthy list. I had been working on multiple collections at a time (not advised...). Finally completed nearly all of them. I completed the CWS Collection so I've added Walsh and Appling. Walsh slots into the #1 starter. Appling goes to 3b to be my long-term 3b, although I may give him a shot at 2b. I also finally finished Hit Parade for the 90 Ichiro so now I have a new RF who will likely be my long-time RF (or maybe CF?). The non-collection addition includes adding a 93 Buck Ewing for 9k under L7 and a Garry Maddox for 5k under L7. I also added 96 Rigney to the bullpen as the long-man since he's locked as part of the CWS Collection, I figured I might as well give him a shot. Also, in a diamond pack from a collection, I added 96 Gossage so he's getting a trial run in the bullpen too.
Missouri Legends: First full season since completing the Royals Collection. 96 Zack Grienke who was locked as part of the collection has a 2.04 ERA with 199 IP. 96 Bret Saberhagen isn't too far behind him with a 2.95 ERA in 192 IP. That one-two punch has led us to first place in the division in the OL Gold Group. Offensively, not much to speak about other than 78 Hal McRae is having an off-year as DH. Was worth 4.6 WAR last year, this year worth -0.1. Guess he decided to take a year off.
Kansas Rangers: The Rangers missed out on the OL group unfortunately, but that isn't stopping them. 100 Bob Gibson has an impressive 1.46 ERA in 209 IP. 96 Mark Prior isn't far behind him with a 1.98 ERA in 204 IP. Similar to the Legends, the one-two punch for starters is carrying us to first place in the division. However, they are getting substantial offensive production from 99 Duke Snider and 87 Ray Lankford.
