Hey, I'm 54 years old and have a long, curly white beard (well, technically maybe goatee really) that makes me look like some aging hipster doofus (to quote Seinfeld) version of Gandalf/Dumbledore (I'm convinced that is why teens tend to trust me), so I'm the last one to call anyone out regarding hipness.
But I'm also a big music aficionado (and not stuck in the past like a great many of my contemporaries) so I tend to hear/read these types of terms. My question was only partly tongue-in-cheek. It might be a bop, or a banger. Or, hey, for some people it might be more a jam.
