Trevor Bauer threw six scoreless innings and four relievers did the rest as Cedar Rapids shutout St. Louis 6-0 at Busch Stadium (1997).
Bauer allowed three hits in his time on the mound, while striking out five and walking a pair.
Thomas Burrows (0.1 IP) and Durbin Feltman (0.2) handled the seventh inning.
Tyler Bashlor and Wilman Madera finished it off by working an inning apiece.
The River Walkers finished the game with eight hits.The loss was their fourth in a row.
Offensively, the Golden Grapplers got all the offense they would need in the third inning thanks to a three-run homer from Terrin Vavra off St. Louis starter Aaron Nola.
Cedar Rapids added another run in the fourth, a Sam Cohen ground out driving in Alex Bregman who had singled.
The Grapplers added two insurance runs in the ninth, the RBIs going to Matt McLain and Vavra who both had RBI singles.
