The latest collective bargaining in effect the past couple years has 162 games in 186 days. Before that is was 162 games in 182 days, which obviously is very similar to 152 in 172.
What I see piecing together very well is 152 games in 172 days. That would be 48 series per team, at 2 series per week, plus one half week for the mid-season break. So 24.5 weeks times 7 days a week is 171-172 days. I round up foreseeing a 4-game series Mon-Thu to close the season since the season starts on a Monday. Does that sound okay?

Sounds fine to me! Just would like a 3-4 off period as mentioned second week of July.
