I recently read
Ballpark and one of the fun things it talked about was the haphazard nature of a lot of the turn of the last century ballparks. As I was studying Capital Credit Union Field it reminded me a lot of those construction stories - a quickly (less than a year) built stadium with an odd shape and quirky charm. It was built as a multiuse stadium for baseball and soccer, but the right field fence is less than 300 ft in real life, and they build their wall out of storage containers because they were cheap and durable. I tried to keep some of that charm (including the right field wall) and added a bit of ivy to the stadium. It also had a view of Lambeau field from the actual stadium location, so that figures in the background.
Overall, the stadium has a pretty lefty friendly split, particularly with the short wall in right and the small foul territory.
