West Driftwood looked to Greg Vallee to bring them back to .500 while Jorge Sanchez bore the responsibility of bringing East Driftwood within one win of the title.

Things stayed at 0-0 for the first three innings before East Driftwood took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth through a Jared Crudup single. The lead lasted until the bottom of the eighth, when the usually reliable closer Paul Greenwood gave up two runs to allow West Driftwood to take the lead. However, a deep flyout in the top of the ninth allowed East Driftwood to tie the game. As the game went to extras, East Driftwood managed to take a 3-2 lead in the top of the tenth. Jody Kolb pitched a clean bottom of the tenth to give East Driftwood win number fourteen.
