New York's divisional round struggles have no end in sight as Rod Carew lit the Patriots up for 3 hits and a solo HR as his Harbour Town Falcons took a 2-0 series lead by smashing the Patriots 8-1.
New York had their chances as they registered 12 hits, but were kept off the scoreboard by a dominant Denny Neagle. After the game, a frustrated Magus was running out of words to describe his team's poor playoff form. "I think we're cursed, baby. There's just nothing we can do once we get to this point. Maybe we're just destined to never win a playoff series again." Magus said of their bad playoff results.
New York are in must-win territory from here, as they'll have to travel to Harbour Town for Game 3 with Tommy John lined up to start.
