NIRL FIRST DIVISION TIGHTENS
The sizzling Stockdale Mustangs are making a little noise in the North Island Recreational League First Division pennant race... the fourth place Mustangs mopped up on the top team Kofa 9-1 Sunday afternoon and tightened it up... coupled with second place New Yerby's 2-0 triumph over last place Avalon, Kofa (18-10) is just one game in front of the Yankees (17-11) with only two games remaining on the schedule... it could come down to the final weekend of the season, when the Kings will play the Yanks in New Yerby... in other NIRL play yesterday, third place Union Heights defeated fifth place Wafford 4-0.
