With their 4-3 win over the Arlington Snappers yesterday, the inevitable has happened, as the New York Mets have clinched the National Conference Central Division crown. They clinched it at Shea Stadium thanks to a 7th inning Mike Piazza sacrifice that turned out to be the difference. Mike Marshall got the win to go to 7-2 on the season, with John Franco coming on for his 35th save of the season.
