MY LIFE IN 1950
Our country is at war again... this time it's in South Korea... backed by the Chinese Communists, North Korean invaded South Korea a week ago and the US is treaty bound to come to South Korea's aid... the war is going badly for the Allies early... here's how the newspaper reported the war... sorry, I stand corrected, this wasn't exactly a "war"... it was just a United Nations' "police action"... thank goodness, it wasn't a "real war"... there's no telling how many casualties we would have had... we lost 34,000 soldiers in the Korean War... in this UN "police action".
The invasion started June 25... South Korea lost 70,000 men in the first week... today, Monday, July 10, they only have 22,000 men left... those numbers can't be right... that's a whole bunch of human beings... got to check and confirm those numbers.
No... the war is not going well for the Allies.
