I think you are absolutely correct. Most of the hitters can be replaced with good Diamond cards but at the top, a 100 Young/Johnson/Schilling/Maddux/Rivera/Eckersley combo is a bit harder to replace.
Maybe a combo of Eppa/Coveleski/99Johnson and Diamond starters in the pen can get close to matching the performance.
I hope to try and find out.
