Bronze 221
Cleveland kicks off the 2026 season in Bronze 221, there are no other MLB-themed teams in the league for the first time in the Bronze level. This is Cleveland's 5th straight season in Bronze, and the hope is that we'll finally at least crack the playoffs, even if we fall short of promotion.
Player updates:
Rookie Francisco Lindor will take over at SS for longtime star, 1997 Omar Vizquel. Omar has been a fan and manager favorite over his 5 seasons with the Legends, but the team can really use Lindor's superior defense. In Omar's five seasons as the full-time guy, he slashed .295/.348/.382 and built up a 22.0 overall WAR.
The only Live players on the daily roster continue to go down in ratings, or stay the same. Shane Bieber is at 79, Carlos Santana's down to a 72, and Brad Hand is back in Bronze at a 68.
We have 4,176 PP to play with right now. The only potential upgrades right now in our price range would be 1927 Rookie Pitcher Wes Hudlin (83), Future Legend SS Tyler Freeman (84) and All-Star C Ray Fosse (87). For now, we're sitting on the PP and saving for a possible diamond-level player.
Starting lineup:
Lindor (87, SS)
Brantley (77, LF)
Thome (75, playing 1B)
Al Smith (79, DH)
Carlos Baerga (76, 2B)
Jim Piersall (80, CF)
Fryman (79, 3B)
Victor Martinez (84, C. Victor is hitting just .224 in 1.5 seasons...and his fielding has disappointed as well)
Kenny Lofton (75, RF)
Rotation:
Wes Ferrell (89)
Early Wynn (86)
Bert Blyleven (84)
George Uhle (84)
Charles Nagy (84)
The 'pen includes Brad Hand as closer, then Shane Bieber (79), Bob Lemon (77) and Steve Mingori (78).
Breaking news: We are adding Adam Cimber (Live, 76) to the bullpen. He's taking the place of backup 2B Vic Power (64) to give the team 7 arms in the bullpen now.
The club now has 3,776 PP to sit on as we start the season.
