Game 2 Orchids at Diamonds
For the second game in a row it was Julien Henri who stepped up big for the Le Diamant Diamonds. Henri logged 8 innings yielding 5 hits, 2 walks, and fanning 5 as Le Diamant won 4-2. LaMotte earned the save by retiring all three batters in the 9th.
Julien stroked a pair of singles his first two at bats and Mercier twice drilled doubles down the left line scoring Henri. But, the big blow came in the 8th, when 1B Daniel Lorenzo stroked one into the right field seats with a runner aboard.
Le Diamant will leave for France in the morning where they will take on the Orchids in Nice. It will be Bour (14-4/ 2.22) vs. Thomas (11-14/ 3.39).
