I always reckon a decade or century ending after the end of a year ending in 0 and them beginning in years ending in 1. Technically speaking, the 21st Century began in 2001, not 2000, for example. So if you really wanted to do a 1970s and 1980s scenario, I'd start with teams from 1971, and close out with teams from 1990, at the latest. But that's me. Of course, it's your choice here which teams you choose to use. CD out.
