DUTTON TIES JACKSON FOR TOP SPOT IN NIRL SECOND DIVISION
In the North Island Recreational League this past Sunday afternoon, three games were played... in a battle of contenders, the Dutton Coyotes copped a close from the Jackson Jackalopes 5-3 and climbed up into a tie for first place... both Dutton and Jackson are 9-5 this season... third place Kinston hung close, just a game behind the co-leaders with an 8-6 record... the Firebirds pull one out of the hat in the last of the ninth with a four-run rally and edged West Chester 8-7... and Joliet bashed the last place Theodore Bobcats 11-5 in a clash of tailenders.
