WHAT'S HOT?
My seat.
WHO SUCKS?
Randy Hundley: .100 (2 for 20) in last 5 games
Notes: It's getting worse before it gets better. Luckily, that's the idea. We're under no illusions at this point, and the goal is clear. It's to get relegated. We're in the bottom 3 in the conference in most major pitching and defensive categories, and while we're 3rd in the conference in batting average and 2nd in hits, that's the only bit of good we're doing. When the offense fails, that's when the bottom will fall out and we will get the desired result.
With the team theme expanding to include the entire National League, there will be more budget players coming in for an opportunity, as we hope to find something that will serve us well when the inevitable happens and we get relegated back to Iron. The experimentation and training begins for the rest of this season as new signing Brett Butler will get an occasional look in the corner outfield spots.
CURRENT COIN COUNT: 244
