I burned through the 1986 offseason during the Cardinals/Cubs game yesterday.
Glancing at BBRef, it doesn't look like Schuerholz and Kaufmann did much to change the makeup of the team, then again, they won the World Series.
My fictitious owner Chris Hays, while being a penny-pincher, left me with about $9m, and then granted me an additional $3m in February. I didn't go bat crap crazy with his money, but I didn't leave it all on the table.
