The biggest oddity I've seen this year is the willingness of the AI to give up good players on large contracts. If a contract is long and expensive, they want to get rid of a player, no matter who it is.
This leads to weird situations where an AI team will win the bidding war for a free agent pitcher, and then immediately be willing to trade them and their contract to another team for nothing in return. Even retaining salary. IMO, the AI should only want to dump large contracts of players that are worth well below their salary, i.e. Chris Davis.
I've got it set to Hard/Neutral. I would think favoring prospects would tilt the problem I'm seeing even more offside.
