Baseball-reference.com and wikipedia.org report the death (on april 16) of harding 'pete' peterson at the age of 89 years and 6 months. He played for the pittsburgh pirates from 1955 to 1959 and he was a graduate of rutgers,university. (new brunswick, nj). After his playing days ended mr. Peterson entered the front office of a number of teams holding a number of posiions, including pitching coach, bullpen coach, farm system director, advisor, and general manager.
