After winning 99 games this season, the Frogs came up a good deal short in the playoffs. The team was swept by the Louisville Colonels in the Gold .301 divisional round. The scores were 4-7, 1-4, and 3-6. No blowouts, but no especially close ones either.
Maybe getting swept in the final 3 games of the regular season was a bad omen? Maybe dropping 6/7 to Louisville during the regular season was, too.
In any case, the Frogs will get a jump on re-tooling the team for its (perhaps-too-early) promotion to diamond level next week. Have to solve a couple of problem spots and inject a bit more offense while hopefully not compromising what was the best defense in the league.
