Today, the Colt .45s will attempt to complete their first ever three game sweep as they finish their three game series in Pittsburgh against the Pirates.

In the top of the second, Clemente threw Mejias out at home after he had tagged up and tried to score on a Smith fly ball to right.

In the bottom of the third, Stuart hit a two run triple to put the Pirates in the lead.

After three: Pittsburgh 2 Houston 0.

In the bottom of the fourth, Mazeroski hit a two run homer.

In the bottom of the fifth, the Pirates loaded the bases with nobody out. Groat drew a four pitch walk to force in a run. Dick Drott took the mound for the Colt .45s. Virdon grounded into the 1-2 fielder's choice for the first out. Burgess then scored when Drott was called for a balk. Mazeroski scored Groat with a sacrifice fly.

In the top of the sixth, Larker hit a solo home run.

After six: Pittsburgh 7 Houston 1.

George Brunet took the mound for the Colt .45s in the bottom of the eighth. Stuart hit a two run triple and later scored when Burgess grounded to first.

With a runner on first and two out in the top of the ninth, Harvey Haddix took the mound for the Pirates and got Kasko to fly out to end the game.

The Pirates got 13 hits in the victory.

Final score: Pittsburgh 10 Houston 1.
