They are 6 games back of first place Cleveland. Their hitting star has been centerfielder Davy "Kangaroo" Jones, who is hitting .343 with a triple. Their pitching star is Pete Dowling, who is 0-2 with a 3.38 ERA. While they haven't hit well, they are tied for third for the fewest runs allowed so far this season.

Errors did us in. Neither of the 2 Detroit runs were earned against Roy Patterson. Pink Hawley went the distance for Detroit.
